Photos of the log trains operating on the ex-Milwaukee trackage from near Centralia to Tacoma Washington during the 1980's. When the Milwaukee RR ceased business in the PNW, Weyerhauser Timber continued operations by purchasing new GP38's delivered in primer yellow, later re-painted with a simple but classy lettering scheme. A pair of Milwaukee cabooses soldiered on into the Weyerhauser Era but were soon replaced with three new cabooses, shown crossing Stevens Pass during delivery. A single photo of caboose 597 is included, a brass model is scheduled to be released. The CME 684, an ALCO C415, is also shown.
