I picked up a new Canon 7D yesterday and I'm testing it to see if it will shoot high ISO with manageable noise. This is not bad but I'm way down the learning curve on noise management.

Canon EOS 7D ,Canon EF 500mm f/4L IS USM
1/1500s f/8.0 at 700.0mm iso1600 full exif

The detail seems to be excellent for such a high ISO. Only noticeable noise seems to be at the top. Looks like a great result!
