reflections

My third and probably final view of the flooded farmlands in our area.
The heavy rains have now stopped and the water is starting to recede.

I should add that flooding in the area is not uncommon because it is low lying
and it is mainly the fields that are effected - not the structures. Although
I'm sure it's a pain to try to get up your driveway when it's covered by four
feet of water.

Boy, it sure looks like the water could get higher than the fields without much effort and then flood the buildings; in all three shots the water seems close. Makes for beautiful reflections and picture perfect scapes. Nice series that should be framed and hung together.

Great series. I like the way this stretches across the frame. I guess they could leave a boat tied up to the mailbox. :)

Beautiful calming horizontal lines and wonderful reflections. It's a shame it represents such an irritation and so much trouble.

So sorry about the flooding. This beautiful peaceful scene is so deceptive.

Wonderful, peaceful scene. I'm sure everyone is relieved the rains have stopped though.
