I wanted to use this picture for a day I didn't really have any of my own. It is a picture taken
many years ago by my DAD , now 87 years old
and depicts his brother in law, my Uncle Steve, a Manitoba wheat farmer on his combine at harvest time.

Uncle Steve was known in the area as the "Wheat King" not only for his prolific crops but his
innovative farming techniques, such as the use of a rice combine to take his crops off when the
fields were too soggy to support regular machinery.
