Home

England issued its first pound notes in 1797, and in 1988 were replaced by coins. At the time, I decided to keep three or four for prosperity little knowing that 19 years later they would feature in my PAD!

I saved one of these years ago when I heard they were being replaced by coins. Don't know where it is at the moment, though. Nice shot.
