June 12 2006:
Watch – or Die

I didn’t really expect to catch a pedestrian here. But one appeared as I was about to go, and was well rewarded.

Full of political intent or an innocent contrast, works well on both counts -v-

Patience isn't simply a virtue, its one of the things that separates good photography from great photography. Like most of your photography, this shot is great.

The contrast between bright white in his clothes and dark background makes it very interesting

YThe pedestrian and the low speed make the image! Superb composition and great find.

Excellent catch of the human element. I like the almost monochrome tone. Since he didn't watch and walked away, is he going to...?
Guest 13-Jun-2006 00:57
Yes... great timing. I like all here, the pedestrian walking (and the feel of his movement in the image), the textures of the brick, the graffitis, the tones, the low light.

Wonderful signage, movement, composition and textures.

I waited ages for my subject to appear today, but that had something to do with his age!
Excellent capture Ray.

Wonderful catch. I love that he is dressed in white as well, just like the lettering.

The white clothing and the white text on the wall and your composition all work well together. Nice one!--Rene
