December 17 2004:
Martian by Night

I love our town’s piece of urban art, and I’ve been longing to publish a night shot of it, having tried a rough in my point and shoot in my pre Rebel days. Here, the glow of the street lamps make it this haunting golden hue, as in real life it is polished metal.

I like the sharpness and color and clean background. Fascianting sculpture.

It does look like something from another planet. I love that rich golden glow.

What a funky sculpture ... I really like the gorgeous golden light it assumes at night!
Great catch!

Of course, you wouldn't exactly know whether he's been on american talk shows I suppose.

Its funny you should mention this Ray... I saw your pad earlier and started to write a comment on it but got distracted somehow. I thought it had a very "war of the worlds" feel about it and now that I have looked through all your versions of it I see that you did indeed mention it. Thanks for dropping by my pad to tell me about it. What an interesting sculpture and I like your night treatment of it. Its amazing to have that thing lording over your town!

You mentioned in one of your other posts of this creature that the movie was slated for release later this year. That's exactly what I thought too. I was so surprised to see them still filming it. Seems to me that I have seen Tom Cruise on talk shows plugging it, no?
