Excellent Photo-Painting - it has the aroma of John Constable
old painting.

Looks like part of the cover of a very old and well-loved book.

Wow, here, if anywhere, is proof of how much an already fine photo can be made into a stunning one through a bit of post-processing (and in particular, texturising).

Excellent treatment. It is likened to Albert Bierstadt's work. I do have somehting like this but not a photo , instead a painting copied from Albert. good Job. Voted

An amazing piece of art. The interesting shape of the tree works so well with your incredible treatment. Your thoughts on how this gem came to be were fascinating to read as well.

without the texture this pic would be OK. i'm really intrigued by how the texture and color treatment adds meaning and depth to it. pretty cool...

This photo is about as expressive as they come. There is a palpable and welcome sense of mystery that arises in one's mind when you first view it, followed by an immediate desire to be sitting underneath this tree, pausing to rest during a long and dusty photo safari. I can feel a vintage pith helmet on my head as I write. Great take on what began its life merely expecting to be a plain ol' vacation shot.

Oh, and I meant to add: "Ferris Bueller, you're my hero..."

Holy mother of god...!
Chuck, old pal .. this is a print to go on the wall... to be matted and framed with precision and hung for all to see. The etches (my favorite) give a feeling of the image being on cloth .. some worn tapestry. I love the curl of tree branch, the color ... the everything. One of my absolute favorites. You need to post on LIF.. ;)
