A Tribute to Cliché Photography Everywhere

it's "pretty"....it's "beautiful"....it's so "amazing"....

IT'S CRAP!

This is my little cupboard for cliche photos that pass thru my camera by accident. I mean...who doesn't need yet another butterfly shot or sunset image to look at ?

To all the Cliche Photography in the world...I offer up these images....since we just can't seem to get past this crap we might as well keep piling it on, right? Does this make me a hypocrite since I took these shots?...maybe this is my own gallery of self-loathing for yet once again bowing to the many published photo experts in seeing and shooting an image of something that looks just like something someone else has shot a hundred thousand times before because that's just what we're supposed to do and how we're supposed to do it...can you hear my head banging against the wall?

Hopefully this collection will build VERY slowly.


You know...after creating this gallery, all of a sudden I feel better...it's like having gone to confession or stood up in a room of strangers and said "hi, i'm chuck and I'm a cliche photographer"...

LOL. brilliant idea for a gallery!! in keeping with its style, i just have to add "great captures!" ;)
i do hope you build on this...but yes, very slowly please! stick to the original, creative stuff that actually sparks thought and imagination!

I'm really disappointed you added only one picture since I was last here. Stop taking masterpieces, and join the rest of us chasing butterflies.

Ok, you have to admit you like doing these shots too, Chuck. For every cliche' in the world, there's a photographer saying "I'm going to make this an original". But you should REMOVE your text, and see how many hits you get and how many "beautifully captured" comments you get, all legitimate, because of your skill.

I love it! I'll be waiting for macro flower shots, sunsets, boats on a lake, macros of chess pieces, maybe a couple of cityscapes at night, etc. Great idea!
