In June 2007 I was invited to a wedding - my first for a long time. I had to go a rather long way for it - Conway (just outside Little Rock, Arkansas). This was my third transatlantic trip in three weeks. The wedding was between Naomi and Jonathan - two talented musicians. I'm a friend of the father, Steve Seidman, who is a fellow computer scientist. Most of the images were taken with flash - my first and not entirely successful serious use of flash. The wedding was a wonderful experience and also my first Jewish wedding.
What a strange and small world the internet is...I found your galleries after my Dad passed on a link to your pictures of Whitby Goth Weekend, as I'm a goth living in Newcastle and go to the festival often with friends. He thought I might spot a few familiar faces - as it turns out I didn't see any in the WGW gallery, but Naomi was my flute teacher when I studied at the University of Texas in 2004/5!
How utterly...bizarre :) These are wonderful pictures, I'd heard through the grapevine that she'd got married but it's lovely to see snaps of the whole event.
