Golden Gate bridge

I'm both pleased and disappointed with this. I would have liked more of the bridge sticking up through the clouds and I would have liked to have been closer. Normally, you can come and go as you please in a light aircraft. However, this area falls in San Francisco's "Class B" airspace which means you have to do what air traffic control tell you - and they are a little reluctant to let you circle the bridge. In fact, if you get a little too close to the bridge you might get a free fighter escort...

Great shot - I agree with Donald - perfect as it is ... great sense of scale ... and so different ... entirely an original picture.

Hi Alan,   You know, if I can differ, I think the towers are sticking up just the right amount, and you are just the right distance away.   Yeah, you could have been closer, and more of the bridge could have been showing, but that would be closer to a picture-postcard rather than this "art shot".   This is an outstanding shot!   I like it a lot.   Thanks.   Best regards, Donald Kinney www.pbase.com/photoarrow

Very cool shot. What great timing to be near the bridge with all of that fog there. The cars in the lower left add a nice sense of scale to the scene as well.
