A Memorable-Memorial-Day

Finishing my trilogy on memorial day on a happy note.
(if you don't know about my tyrades dont look at the past 2 PAD's lol)
Above observe Patrick (our youngest) stooping over the grave of a WWII soldier.
We asked what he was doing and he said he had picked a flower for the grave (we had put a flag on it earlier.)
Can a 6 year old really understand this holiday? Of course not.
But I know he will remember what memorial day is next year
and
I know next year he will ask if we are going back to the grave of a soldier who had given his life for his country
and us!

PATRICK ,in 10 years when you read this, know how proud you made me today!

I could totally see my son doing the same thing. I'll have to make a point to take him on a tour of the memorial they have here in town.
