One of the most enjoyable parts of my job is people.
Basically I get to spend all day getting to know people.
Those who know me know I have tremendous respect for
"The WWII and GREAT DEPRESION generation"
This is Tracy, one of my favorites.
He is my second oldest patient!! ( My oldest is 105!!)
When I met him 7 years ago he was shooting below his age in golf 3 days a week.
He came in with a cut up arm from a car wreck.
My first thought was "he is too old to drive and now he has caused a wreck.
Turns out a teenager ran a light and hit him.
He gave up golf 2 years ago "cause I couldn't fix his arm that was hurting when he swung.
He is still driving, and to talk to him is like talking to a 40 year old.He is well spoken, sharp of wit,
strong(FIRM handshake) did I tell you he still drives.....to Houston!!
How old can he be.I mean look at him. He is my size, steady stance
6 months from his 100th birthday.
SIX months from ONE HUNDRED!!!
Sadly for me his daughter is really pushing him to move in with her family 100 miles away.
Either way,we spoke, today, about realizing you only have a short time left on this earth.
Doesn't bother him.
Either way it goes,I will have lost a great friend.
God Bless you Tracy.
