After reaching the top of the escarpment my next stop was Grassy Cove - a bowl-like valley completely ringed by hills,
with no streams flowing out. The limestone underneath is porous enough that water simply drains away. Grassy Cove was
probably formed by collapse of the underlying stone long ago, & probably wants to be part of the much larger Sequatchie
Valley some day. For now, it's a quiet, mostly agricultural valley.
