On Day 2, we kayaked to the flats behind Kamalame Cay	Jan 31 Kamalame Cay kayak survey route map	Ideal habitat: lots of piping plovers (like 70 of them) and other shorebirds.	Hm, do I see a numbered flag on that plover?	Yep - can't read it though...	I'l try again...
Nope, still can't read it. Plenty of plover, not enough camera.	How about this one - a pink flag? Nope, still can't read it.	Too bad we couldn't bring the big camera on the kayaks.	The piping plovers retreated to high ground as the tide came in	We counted 73 piping plovers in this roost - we'll be back with better equipment soon.
