I returned to NYC after 9/11 (9/28) to photograph these images. There was dead silence as All of us were looking at this horrible site. If you have ever seen a Massive Dump site of iron, metal or auto wreakage, this is what the aftermath of The World Trade Center looked like. The difference is that over 3000 lives were under this massive grave. Everyone was trying to get a view of what was once the WTC. The Smell, Dirt and Dust was in the air like snowflakes falling on a winter day. I will never forget this day, I will never forget the stillness, dust and shock. I wished I had the camera equipment then, that I have today, to photograph sharper, richer pictures.
