Notes for Francis Lourence Bonevere:
Was an expert musician and he was known to play two harmonicas at once. Francis was born at home and he died at the hospital where he worked as a dishwasher in San Francisco. He was a very religious man and always contributed to the poor and many charities. His father (per letter Francis wrote to a priest) was a sailor who traveled around the world three times.

Notes for Mary Ann Hanley:
Arrived at Ellis Island May 15, 1914 at the age of 21 aboard the ship Cedric from Queenstown, manifest line #0025; stayed with her uncle John Benjermin at 44 Central Ave, Jersey. She was married first to a Syrian man and had one son who died at birth. Francis met Mary Ann while she was working at a church rectory as a housekeeper (Francis was an usher).

I believe your "Sarah Hansfield" should be "Sarah Jane Stansfield nee Smart"; born 1848 in Andover, Hampshire, England; died 1886 West Derby, Lancashire, England. Charles Bonevere was from Malta and died in 1909 in West Derby, Lancashire, England. The family was Roman Catholic. By the way, Bootle rather than Bootie! Good Luck!

When we were in Tennessee, everyday there was a group of butterflies that hung out together. They were 3 big, beautiful butterflies. I remember one morning when I heard Aiden yelling from the front porch "Mom! Hurry come here, I see Grandma" I think I almost wet myself thinking that he is seeing Grandmas ghost. So I went out the front porch and there were the 3 butterflies. He pointed to one of them and said "that's Grandma" and then he pointed to the other two and said "that one is Johnny Cash, and that one is Elvis". Aiden misses you so much and I still cannot come to terms that you are not a phone call away anymore. I am sorry that we did not get to attend the funeral, we really wanted to be there with you. But I think it probably was better that way. I feel you in my heart, and yes I know you tickled my feet while I was sleeping. I thank you so much for being there for Aiden and I. You were not only my Grandma, but you were also my mother. You were the one that raised us girls. I thank you for keeping me close to your heart . I know your last year here was not fun, it was an obsticle for you. And I wish I could of been there for you much more than I was allowed to help you climb over it. Its very soothing knowing that you are at rest now. Aiden and I will forever keep you in our hearts, and we will always have our "little secret". No matter what some people say, you were my mom. You may of not carried me in youe womb, but you sure did love me and carry me all the way to where I am today. Thank you for the uncondition love, and support that you have always given to Aiden and I. Than k you for being our rock.

Grandma I love you and I will miss you. But I am glad that you are in heaven where you will meet face to face with God, and you are no longer have to suffer. I was sad to see you go, but I felt peace come over me because I knew you were safe in your new everlasting home. I love you and you will be greatly missed. Thank you for being my mom and taking care of me all those years, oh yeah and breaking that wooden spoon over my head. Thank you for all the wonderful unforgettable memories, and I will see you soon in heaven.

We have our mom to thank for so many things, but most of all for the independence she and dad gave us in growing up and enabling us to stand on own two feet and survive and compete in the world. She truly was a beautiful woman, both inside and out. Charles thank for the great photos, hope to see the sight grow.
