STOP PLEASE! Can i take your picture.....s'il vous plaît?
I liked the line of light profiling him
and i just had the impulse.
The man with the bouquet and the pack sack
stopped and smiled. Gently agitated, he said...he was in a hurry.
But he asked me: "Are you a professional photographer?"
I then smiled and said no...
Just passionate about photography,
capturing moments that will never come back.
We were at the foot of a small mountain.
I was intrigued by his
posture and the intensity of his walk,
i needed to know...
So, i asked him what was the hurry?
(the story unfolds in the next image or in another gallery,
depending in which gallery you see this image).
He was in a hurry
I asked him why...?
He said do you think the flowers still look fresh?
I said yes, they are beautiful.
But..where are you going with those flowers?
Why are you in a hurry?
He smiled and said, follow me.
(He had also taken the time to remove his cap
and remove the paper from the flowers, leaving his pack sack
at the top of the mountain...)
So i did follow that man i did not know.
and...
(check previous and next image)
Up close.....and personal
This is why he was in a hurry...
he wanted to make sure
there was still good light
and that the flower was still fresh and beautiful enough.
He moved me
when he touched the stone
and held the flower
for a still moment...
I thought this was up close and very personal
i almost felt like an intruder but...he insisted i go with him.
I am thankful for those "out of the blue" moments...

No more...
Can we see the reflection of the stars
in his eyes...
Only the memories of them.
Il avançait d'un pas lent,
insécure, le dos maintenant courbé en permanence.
Pourquoi la tête devient-elle si lourde?
Le poids des rêves inassouvis?
J'espère que non...
Attendre sans savoir pour quoi...
Demain... combien de trains encore...
Tomorrow, how many trains still...

n.b. I was a bit too far for my lens...but, you get the idea ;)

Lost....
I don't know if he remember his mother...
Ils n'avaient pas trouvé
ce qu'ils cherchaient,
parce qu'ils avaient emporté avec eux,
outre leurs bagages,
le poids de leur échec passé - Paulo Coelho

...and then
The doctor asked my mother:
"IF" your heart happens to stop...do you accept to not be reanimated?
I swallowed my tears
She said yes...
Pas de deux...
Slowly and in sync.

Weekly challenge: "Chairs"
Footnote:
The weather was gorgeous and rather comfortable,
he probably is wearing those "winter clothes" since last winter,
even if they were clean with jeans freshly ironed it seemed,
allowing me to have a glimpse at the reality of his "existence"
moved me.
This makes me sad in more than one way, deep inside.
How will he do with the winter weather that is fast approaching?
So many things are taken for granted
and so many people are just made invisible...
I should open a gallery (and my car windows...)
for my "drive by shooting on a red light..."
A thought in emptiness.
Alone in the noise of the city.
Sad does not begin to describe.
I can't imagine her winters
i can't imagine her springs
worried of the here and now
without hope for tomorrow.
Prisonner of emptiness,
prisonner in her head.
Her only fortune
this winter coat
suffocating for the summer
not warm enough to face winter.
The day of the picture
it was a humid 25 C...in the shadow.
