Sept. 13,2008: On an early morning bike ride saw this woodpecker and watched it for a good half hour and became aware of how much damage they do to a tree in a short period of time. This bird was very used to people and allowed me to sit on the ground as it was photographed with the 40-150 mm lense with no cropping.
