Thank you so much for sharing your story. I had a BCC on the tip of my nose removed on 1st March this year, and a full thickness skin graft taken from my neck. Despite doing all the right things, the area started bleeding the day after the op,and I found out 10 days later that the graft had failed. One month later, I still have a dressing on my nose, and am waiting for it to heal. A long slow process. It has taken me a month to pluck up courage to change the dressing myself - never thought I was such a woos. The likelihood is that I will then have another graft, although the surgeon makes soothing noises, but doesn't tell me all that much. My way of coping was to get back to work and keep busy - I am lucky - I work with children. they naturally ask lots of questions, and say I look like a bird (beaky dressing!), but are so accepting. Reading your story has really helped me. I don't like to worry family and keep upbeat most of the time, but it's a lonely journey. God Bless, Ann
