Thank you so much for documenting your Moh's surgery recovery. I just had this done on the very tip of my nose, on June 21, 2016. When I saw the wound for the first time...well...I'm glad I have a strong stomach.

Your photos gave me hope that this will heal sooner than I expected.

Thank you again.

Bev

Hello Christine.
My surgeries began in early March 2013. It has been a long, grueling time. Most of it, I have felt myself in tears as I look at my once pretty face, now a mass of scars. I tell myself to be happy that I do not have cancer anymore, but I miss my old face.
I went back in, in April to have the flap revised and found out then that it would be months before my current doctor would even discuss additional surgeries with me. He would not even come in to the exam room to speak with me, but sent his nurse to break the news.
I am driving to Boston next week for a second opinion with a specialist. I hope he can help me.
I have documented every step of my surgery, and also have a folder of before pictures to help the new doctor.
Thank you for showing me that dreams do come true, and perhaps I will get my face back.

I do not know if you ever look here but I'll post any way. Your talent and the joy it brings others has always endeared me towards you. I have been truly blessed to been allowed to watch you mature as a person and an artist. While the pictures in this site are becoming a bit dated I still enjoy looking at them as they hold many precious memories for us (not all pain free). I enjoy reading others comments. I hope that they realize that your time and abilities were enabled by someone that cares deeply for you even today. Always in faith.

In the wonders of Photography the visual art, one seeks those that have the eye to provide the viewers a glance of beauty frozen in time. It's rare that one actually finds a person with that capability however. In your work we discover, as others have, that rare eye for and the capability to provide to us your remarkable work. Thank you for doing so. I will always wish I could have met you to tell you this in person.. My warm regards to a very special person, Darryl

Just viewed your gallery on your surgery. Having recently gone through this same surery with a flap from my cheek not my forehead, I could relate to your comments. Had the same problem with the pain meds and have a bump that they want to go back and cut on to smooth out. Just got to the point where my face feels kinda normal again. Being a smoker also not sure if this response to healing is due to that or not. Thanks so much for sharing your story. This has been much more of a process than I ever imagined.
