Dennis/Gail, Pete/Coral, left on Jan 17th for a short trip to Manzanillo just to investigate and sightsee. We drove the breathtaking coastal road from Puerto Vallarta, then dropping down and inland for the drier mountainous area before coming in to the lush fertile valleys around Manzanillo. Being a busy port, Manzanillo has lots of traffic, big trucks loaded with cargo coming and going. Our B&B hotel, the Posada was comfortable, old hacienda type..recently refurbished. It faces the ocean, right next to the harbor so we got to see the cruise ships, freighters, and cargo ships come and go. We awoke both mornings to the Mexican Navy doing maneuvers on the beach in front of the hotel. We drove up to Colima and Columa, some 90 km. north. Lovely old towns.
I think this is one of my favorite trips you took. The corors are so beautiful and I love the old hotel with the flowers out front. That print needs to be painted- XO CN
