The Rhine is a river that starts in the Swiss Alps, then follows the borders Switzerland/Liechtenstein and Switzerland/Austria, empties into Lake Constance, comes out following the Swiss-German border, and then in the city of Basel makes a bend nordwards along the French-German border. It then enters Germany and the Netherlands and finally discharges into the North Sea.
This gallery covers three Swiss towns along the Rhine: Laufenburg, Rheinfelden, Schaffhausen and Stein-am-Rhein. Also shown, the Rhine Falls a short distance downstream of Schaffhausen, scenes along the Rhine between Stein-am-Rhein and Lake Constance, and the German city of Konstanz.
