I am so torn when I look at these photos. I said goodbye to my father after my visit to South Africa, thinking he was totally healthy, and he just died so suddenly a month later. I wish so often that I could have spent time with him in his last days. And yet, I am also thankful that my father did not suffer for years. It is hard to express how I feel. I suppose I just really want him to still be here, but not to have any pain.
