Probably John McQueen Johnston, first surviving son of our Red Robin and Mae.
John was a firebrand from what I have gathered from family oral history. If he wasn't arguing with one of his neighbors, and he argued with all of them, he was arguing with his wife. It is reported that she moved out on him 10 times, but always returned. John was just as quick to be a loving husband and father. One has to wonder if he was bi-polar...

Dating this image is a bit like playing Sherlock Holmes. The scarf-type tie, button hole in the right lapel, high buttoned collared vest with lapels and bushy beard are indicative of the period 1865-1875.
