Frances Graves (#5)

Flint, Michigan, U. S. A.

Frances Graves, 1868-?

Original image captured by "M.A. Rees, Photographer, No. 60 Cor. Saginaw And Kearsly Sts., Flint, Michigan, Opp. Fenton Hall" in 1869.

Frances was her father's delight. He doted on her. To him she was extraodinary. He never lost his love for her.

From an original tintype photograph, 1869, which was scanned, emailed to me, and restored in 2005. The tintype image measures 1-7/16"x2" while the paper holder measures 2-7/16"x4". hide exif

Perhaps this could help you update the family tree a little bit. I am a descendent of FRANCES GRAVES ('Frankie'). She was my Great Grandmother on my Father's side of the family. I became aware of your site at least three years ago, while I was digging around trying to find JOHN GRAVES. That would make ISABELLA JOHNSTON GRAVES my Great Great Grandmother! As for Frances, she died August 30, 1956, and was buried September 3, 1956 in Chesaning, Michigan. Great Grandma bore 7 children. Her second, Asenath Montgomery is my father's (Douglas Cross)mother.
