Original tintype image captured ca. 1869 by William McConnell of Plantagenet, Ontario, CANADA.

I believe that images #22 & #24 were captured in the same studio.

The image was rescanned from the original tintype and restored on 10-10-2005. Additional details were revealed. Not noticed previously were: there are 2 button holes in the right lapel of the man's jacket. This is a style of the late 1860's to early 1870's. Now that is one proud-looking mother! Unfortunately the child moved while the exposure was being made and her face is blurred.

This image is from an original tintype photograph taken ca. 1866, which was scanned and restored in 2005. The tintype image measures 1-7/8"x3-7/16" while the paper holder measures 2-7/16"x3-7/8". hide exif
