Krakow

Krakow is in southern Poland. It was originally the capital, until Warsaw became the capital in 1596. Between 1772 and 1918 Krakow was part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, which is still evident from the architecture. It is named after a legendary knight called Krak, who supposedly rescued the inhabitants from a dragon in the distant past.
