In the palm of my hand...

Took my dove to the window to sunbathe, she opened her left wing while sitting
in the palm of my right hand. How beautiful and what a priviledge to see her spreading her wings
to soak in the warmth. My camera was sitting just a bit away, so with careful moves (not to disturb her)
picked up the cam but without startling her took a shot not really seeing what I was focusing on.
This is a crop of the result.

Wondeful photo - so clean and simple. If you were to do a "best of" this would have to have a prominent place. John

This is a definite WoW Carol.
Such beautiful detail but the
trust your dove has displayed
in allowing your movement
really shows that special bond.

Thanks so much Linda and Char. I was so shocked that it turned out. Not left handed and
that was my only free hand to flip the cap, turn it on, hold and click...while holding
her in my right hand and 'not' scaring her.lol

Wow! What an excellent close-up. I never realized how beautiful her wings were they kind of look like Herringbone Twill (I think that's what it's called). The one feather looks like a message is tucked into the others. What a great "Thank You card" this would make.

Lucky you Carol :-) Lovely shot of her wing. I find feathers really fascinating to examine especially with a macro lense ;-)
