Thanks kindly John, the kit lens is an inexpensive one that came with the camera.
The culs (close up lenses)used were +1, +2, +4.

For a simple plant, these are amazingly complex. There's so much here to enjoy - the colours, the dog-hair-like awn, and so worthwhile at original size. What do you mean by "kit lens with culs"? Pennisetum rubrum? John
