This nor' easter blizzard dumped the most snow on Halifax/Dartmouth than I can recall in my lifetime. A state of emergency was declared after 95cms of snow were dumped on the city. Our street (as were most side streets) was complete snowed in for days. I had to get out and take pictures of this storm though so I put on my showshoes and started walking. In the middle of the storm I walked up to my grandmother's house and brought her some lunch. On the walk back home a big gust of wind blew me down and I fell face-first into deep snow. I had great difficulty getting myself up again because the snow was so deep, every time I tried to prop myself up with my arms I'd just sink in deeper. Finally I just decided to roll... and I rolled myself down the street until I found a shallow enough spot I could stand up. I had visions of being scooped up by a snow plow while I was stuck there in the snow in the middle of the street - it was pretty scary!
