Hi Cindy,

Fantastic photos. My financee and I are doing the same trip in October this year, and I was wondering if you could help me out.

Were you using a Monopod or Tripod on board the Tundra Buggy to take your pics or do you hand-held your 170mm/500mm lenses or.....?

Would really appreciate you letting me know, as I'm wondering what to expect.

Cheers,
James

Hi Cindy,
All I can say is WOW! Love, love, love your animal and nature pics. You guys must have had some fun "off road Jeepin'", althought everyone looks tired, wet and cold. Am certainly going to book mark your site.
Thanks for the awesome views of Nova Scotia. A place I hope to visit one day.

Dear Cindy ,
We so admire your beautiful work, in particular the bird photographs, for us city folk they give great inpiration and joy. Although we have many bird books none seem to equal your photos and my children were wondering if you have published any bird books.

Hi Cindy,

I enjoyed looking at your photos of birds and landscapes of my home province ,Manitoba.
Those looked like Turkey Vultures on the red house, nice shot.
I'm planning a trip to Nova Scotia this summer. I'm sure my photos won't be as good as your but yours will be my inspiration.

Thanks
John

Thanks very much for your kind suggestions, etc. We had a great visit to Halifax, however, it was jolly cold!! Okay, I am a big sissy and can't handle it. But, I managed to get a few shots. Please see my gallery:

Cindy,

I am taking my daughter to Halifax this weekend (It's her birthday) and was wondering if there is an area you would recommend to photograph in the area for landscape, light houses, etc (in addition to Peggy's Cove)
Thanks
Ashley

Just had a look around more of ur stuff! Sorry, but ur talant starts way before post-production. Talant comes with great responsibility and hardship. Oh I know it's easier to blame a computer and not take resposibility for your talant. I understand that. But your just going to have to start taking credit for you artistry and not blame the damn computer........LOL dale
Guest 09-Mar-2007 05:35
U are my totally new idol. I can't believe u do all this with a 170-500. You are a true artist. I'm new at bird photography but know just enough to know u are a master. I'd give a lot to spend a day in the field with you. Do you ever do tours etc. If so please let me know....Dale at dalecarrigan@msn.com.............ur newly devoted fan...thanks. ds80 w/sig 50-500
Guest 08-Mar-2007 08:09
You have great stuff here and I'm a little jealous to be honest.
Guest 04-Mar-2007 21:34
Wow! blown away by your bird photos. I have a d80 on order and was convinced the sigma 70-200 2.8 would work for me in my back. I only shoot from 30 or forty feet. Now I'm wondering if I shouldn't be getting the 170-500. Any thoughts would be dearly appreciated by someone with your obvious talant and esperience. thanks soooo much, dale

Hi Cindy:

I'm of friend of Joanne's. I just finished viewing the wedding photos as well as some of your other material. Great work! You might actually haved helped to rekindle a passion for photographic art that I had placed on the back burner for a long time. Who knows, it might soon be time for me to dust off some lenses and become active again.

Cheers

Hello, Cindy. What a beautiful gallery of Nova Scotia birds. Such clarity. As a fellow Haligonian, I have seen many of them, but not most of them. I did not realize that we had such a variety here. You must be very patient and hide well or have one mother of a telephoto lens to capture these images! How you can get that close to herons is a mystery to me. They don't let me get anywhere near to them -- even with a telephoto! Beautiful, aren't they -- so "architecturally" perfect? All the best! Keep shooting so I can learn about my own backyard!

Regards, Peter
