West End is one of the 52 neighborhoods that make up Cincinnati located directly west of the CBD
(downtown). The neighborhood is is very urban and has probably seen the most change due to the large
scale of City West.
"City West" is a mixed income development in the neighborhood of West End. It is built on the site
of Laurel Homes which was the second largest public housing development in the country and has come
along way visually and hopefully over time perception will catch up. This neighborhood is rarely
covered in a positive way in the local media and while crime still lingers in areas of the West
End, City West is one of the largest redevelop projects going on in the country and should be
applauded.
