the sky actually looks quite nice in this image. if you notice, on each side of the image, blue appears and provides an artistic frame. very nice! shu

That's really too bad. Perhaps a little manipulation with layers and add a sky from another image. Just joking. ~Steve

No Steve, I really can't because the sky is blown out on the original...when there is on data, there is no data.

I could crop it more tightly on the top, as I did on the first version, but, I thought a little blue sky and cloud might be nice. I worked whatever blue there was in the original with saturation and then burning with the burn tool to darken whatever was there...this is the result.

I really like the lower portion of this image it is quite stunning. However about 75% of the sky is completely blown out on my monitor. Is there a way you can isolate the sky with something like the "Quick selection tool" or the "Magic wand tool" in Photoshop or Elements and adjust only the lower portion of the image. ~Steve

Copy that! The detail in the sky(helps frame the cliffs so much better) and a bit of the pump in contrast does wonders for this one. A shot that lives up to your nickname.

Yes - a v good edit. All of the areas now make a good impact.

I agree I like this edit better, nice job on the clouds to create separation. Paul
