Thanks Tom. Yes, this was very early. A "White Christmas" is very rare where I live, and this was taken in November! Actually, already on November 20th, I woke up to a winter scenery! When it snows in December it usually melts right away. You're right, it has been unusually cold here lately - in the low 20's (°F) during the days. That is not THAT cold, but when you add the wind-chill factor of strong winds - we've been experiencing something like below zero °F.
When I took this picture, though, it was calm. That's what I like about it - to me, it has an atmosphere of calmness and harmony.
The weather news just reported that this is the coldest winter in several years and it is not even winter yet. We're expecting flurries today but it's too early for me. Is this early for you? Looks impressive - and cold. -tv
this is close enough! the fact that you saw the beauty in the newly fallen snow thru your window is interesting to me as i sit here in new england just waiting for such a thing to beautify our christmas hoiidays! shu

That old saying "rules are meant to be broken", or at least bent a bit. The DOF, the falling snow, the grey day...all very moody and lovely. -Michael
