The straps can be attached through slots, but I had to undo and redo the straps in their clips. Not very fast if you need the cape in a hurry. I use an after-market strap, with quick-release snaps. I could enlarge the slits in the cover to use the snaps, but that would defeat the purpose of the cover a bit.
