Most of these were shot with the following combinations:
1) Canon Powershot S3 IS with or without a Raynox DCR-250 macro filter
2) Olympus E-520/E-3 using the 50mm f2 macro sometimes with the Raynox macro filter screwed onto the front (manual focus only) OR the ZD 70-300. Occasionally, I would use an old OM lens and the macro filter. I also used my FL-50r flash as a fill as needed with the Olympus cameras. Some of the close ups were also done with the 50-200mm 2.8-3.5 swd lens as well.

Not having a lot of dedicated macro gear, I used what hacks I could to get the magnification I wanted. I also do not, as of yet, do any focus bracketing and picture stacking.

Nor so I have a clue what most of these bugs are so if you know, feel free to chime in with an ID on them! I won't be offended:)
