Our backyard is very small, but I have put some effort into making it look good. This gallery is to show what we have growing in our garden. I have some archive photos which show what it looked like before we moved in which I added so that people can see the transformation that the yard has undergone.

We are lucky in that the yard faces straight south (we are in the northern hemisphere) and is protected from the prevailing winds by some sumac and a tall fence separating us from our neighbour's yard. This gives an almost ideal growing environment for hardy perennials and the like.

It is our little piece of paradise.

The eventual goal is to do something like this only on a more grand scale with a detached house one day. Done right, it would be a mini vacation just sitting in the yard.
