Shark Byte Art

Shark Byte Art in downtown San Jose through October, 2001. These were six foot fiberglass sharks sponsored by different groups who commissioned artists to transform them into works of art, then auctioned off for charity. I have one of these sharks but it too Is not pictured in this gallery. I would like to know the artist who made it and the name of the piece. It is a totally blue shark with an aquarium scene (with lights) inside the belly.

The "School of Neighbors" shark is located in Joyce Ellington Library, children's area.

Sushi Shark is on display in SJ's Japantown on Jackson St. in a storefront.

I have one for sale! I don't see it pictured here. It is called "A Tribute to the Grand Canal (Venice, Italy)" and is a tile mosaic piece by Edward Seichei.

Voted. (Nice gallery! :-) ) Bit of a surprise the Sharks or the city of San Jose didn't continue with this project.

Next to the San Francisco Hearts project (which keeps on going each year) the Sharks were a gem. It'll be great if they could bring this one back.

Cool, we did this in Calgary, Canada. But they were cows not sharks.
