Canon TS-E 17 purchased in Guangzhou/China for RMB 15.800:-) (= USD 2.350, EUR 1.700)
I could test the lens before buying. Like the TS-E 24, also seems to be a good sample. Contrary to my TS-E 24, the lens shows very slight lower edge sharpness and higher CA on right side, compared to left side (at full 12mm shift).
Even at full shift, the lens shows barely any distortion which is terribly good for a lens with horizontal field of view equivalent to a 10.2 mm lens!
Like for the TS-E, f8 is enough to achieve optimal corner sharpness without shift. For 12mm shift upwards, f11 is sufficient, for 12mm shift sidewards I would recommend f16.
Generally I would say from the very first pics that the lens performance is excellent while sharpness and contrast are a bit lower compared to the very excellent TS-E 24.
BTW f16 is also needed to reduce edge light fall-off to zero at full sidewards 12mm shift.
