The Knap is one of the beaches here in Barry, and it's the beach that myself and Ceri prefer. It's a beach that I grew up on during the summer holidays of the 70s and 80s and has become one of my favourite places.
The water tends to be cleaner over the Knap, and you dont tend to get covered in sand like you would on a sandy beach. There is sand at the Knap but only at low tide. Walking on the pebbles can be a challenge for some, but nevertheless fun is always had.
Myself and Ceri have been continually coming down to the Knap for a swim when we can in the summer months, and its usually in the morning before work, or after work in the evening when the weather is nice.
These pictures were not taken with my own camera, they were taken with a waterproof digital camera that belongs to my friend Ross. He was kind enough to lend me his Pentax Optio W10 for a few days to take a few pictures in the water. I was very very impressed with the quality of the photographs, and I hope you enjoy them, as much as I enjoyed taking them!!
