St Nicholas and Peterston

Sunday started off a dull and dreary day. It was forecast, but as time went by, it was more like a hot summers day, rather than the middle of April. Todays walk started off in the small village of St Nicholas, north of Barry, and we headed down and towards the village of Peterston Super Ely and in a big circular route out into the countryside! Peterston-Super-Ely (Welsh: Llanbedr-y-fro) is also small village situated about eight miles from the centre of Cardiff in the Vale of Glamorgan. As its name suggests, it is on the River Ely and the local church is St. Peter's.

This is the first walk I've done this year with Rachel and Huw, and let me tell you....I slept like a log the night after the walk!
