The weather was great, so we decided to go for a walk down the west end of the county, down to Monknash. Parking the cars in a farmers field, and walking down the narrow lane we came across a stone stile. The stile took us into Blaen y Cwm nature reserve and down to the sea emerging on Monknash beach. When down on the beach you get an impressive view of the Glamorgan Heritage Coast. The heritage coast stretches for 14 miles from West Aberthaw to Porthcawl, and along the way showcases some beautiful low cliffs and dramatic coastal scenery. Here is a good selection of photographs from our walk in the surrounding area!
