Keeping an eye on the weather, especially as it was May Day Bank Holiday, we packed our lunches in our bags and headed off in the direction of Cowbridge for an afternoon walk around Llansannor and City. Parking the cars at the old City Inn, what used to be a Traditional Welsh Country Inn. The place was believed to have been used as a hostelry, since the late 17th Century and a lot of the original architecture and features remain. The earliest recorded publican, was a Mr George Tudor, whose family records at the nearby St Senwyr church in Llansannor, date back to the 1750's. The older parts of the building are also reputed to be haunted by the ghost of a former landlady.
We set off across the fields towards to village of Llansannor, and then headed up over the hills for a good afternoons walk!
