Many people in my line of work claim to have a 'server' at home, which they might mess around with. To them, I say "This is what you are lacking...a proper server!!!" None of this "I've turned my old PC into a server" this is a genuine RM RX SystemBase server. This is a beast of a machine, and even roars like a beast too when its running. It is fully equipped with a bank of SCSI disks, non of this IDE desktop nonsense, and even a DAT drive - proper computing power!!

I was lucky enough to acquire this from one of the schools I visit on a regular basis, and they were kind enough to let me have it when they replaced it with something more up to date. However since then it's had a change of hardware inside making it marginally more powerfull than it was originally, and currently I use to to hold a second copy of all the data on my desktop PC. From time to time when I remember, I schedule a backup to tape, and failing that, to DVD on my desktop.
