I'd visited Holland for the first time in 2003, and this is my third visit. The first time I came here I came across with my friend Ceri, and we met up with our mutual friend Yves, who lives here in Holland. Since then Yves has visited us in the UK about three times. The summer of 2006 was the last time I came here, with James when we returned to visit Yves and Simone, when we brought our tent. Despite the fact that we were rained off the campsite on our last night, and that we left the tent on the train home and lost it, we had a fantastic holiday that summer seeing lots of wonderful local places of interest. August 2007, both Simone and Yves had planned to visit us in the UK, but because of some extreme bad luck they missed their flights, however they are coming back this year to visit us at the end of August - fingered crossed they get to the airport on time this year!

June 2008 sees a return to Holland, where this time, Ceri and Quirine, were coming to Holland anyway, for a family reunion of sorts, and we decided that after that we would all meet up and visit Yves and Simone. So having travelled across by car and ferry with Quirine's parents, I flew out to Amsterdam myself from Cardiff, and then caught a train south to the province of Limburg, where I joined them.
