Last weekend the weather prevented us from coming down here, so on the May Day Bank Holiday weekend, we went for a walk in the Hensol Woods. We arrived about 12.30pm and walked up through the grounds of the old Hensol Hospital, up to the The Vale Hotel. Then cutting through the grounds on the Hotel, following the public footpath, we walked through the countryside until we eventually got to the Seven Oaks Fishing Lakes.
The Fishing Lakes offer 3 well stocked lakes to suit people of all ages and abilities, and we had some fun watching some of the regulars catch a few trout!
After stopping for a short break, we headed back through the village of Ystradowen, and headed back to where we had started from - a thoroughly enjoyable walk was had by all!
