Rupert must be a British series as I'm not familiar with him either. Certainly is a cute little fella! :))

Oh I do and my Mum loved him. When I went through some of her little boxes I found a Rupert the Bear badge which I had bought for her years ago!

Oh yes! I loved my Rupert books, especially the monthly Rupert 'comics' and the annuals! Remember Pauline the Girl Guide! I wanted to be her. VV

I do, he was my favourite. The other one I remember well was Barbar the elephant.
Rupert is not allowed his usual friends in the UK.
