Rheinstein Castle, one of the most important examples of romantic castle reconstruction. Built as a princely summer residence at the beginning
of the 14th century. By the 17th century, the castle was very dilapidated, but was rebuilt by Prince Frederick of Prussia in the 19th century.
Bought by the opera singer Hermann Hecher in 1975, who made it one of the centres of attraction in the Rhine Valley.
