Hiking

All of the following pictures were taken while on a hike. To get to the all of these places below, you have no choice but to hike. We saved the two best hikes (Sliding Sands in Haleakala and the Pipiwai Trail below) for the last two days. The Pipiwai Trail leads you through a bamboo forest to the mother of all waterfalls we encountered, the majestic 400-foot Waimoku Falls! This fall is so tall, the camera couldn't capture it in its entirety. The Infinity Pool was a semi-dangerous diversion that most don't take probably because of the sign posted by the Hawaii gov't (too bad!) but being there really makes you appreciate the earth we live in plus a bonus feeling of knowing you're one of the few who did it. The cliff below Courtney is 400 feet deep.
